The thing is with bridge he is constantly targeted by the opposition because everytime they attack his side it's always 2 on 1, it looks bad on bridges behalf when players run past him and get in behind, but what is he supposed to do?, it's not a dig at robbie but he should work back more, he did today and did well, but sometimes bridge is doing a 2 man job, also you can see he isn't 100% match fit.

this is true, robinho leaves him exposed a lot but even still I havent been impressed. Maybe he started to decline as a player years ago, but because he hasnt been playing regularly for Chelsea, nobody ever noticed?

Who did he have in front of him at chelsea?

I have just read the reply from Marvin on this thread..... you think the defence was quality today?

Im sorry, but your wrong on every level.

Here's our defence in a nutshell -

Dunne - Proven this season he is nothing better than a has-been.
Richards - Worst first touch of any professional footballer than I think iv'e ever seen.
Bridge - A defender who has never EVER made a fucking tackle.
Zabaleta - Good. Nothing more. Wouldn't get into a top four side.
Onuoha - Great coming forward (should be on the wing instead of shit Richards), but stands back in his own box.
Garrido - Started to show potential, but Hughes bought Bridge and effectively ended his City career.

By the way - Fernandes.... Why the fuck does that twat of a manager keep bringing this idiot on? Hughes HAS to go.

Chelsea, particularly under Mourinho, were renowned for their hard work. Even the likes of Joe Cole and Duff would track back and contribute defensively.

Remember when Hughes said he'd make City into a football factory..... Bwahahahahaha!

we're the complete opposite to his blackburn team, woefully disorganised and no work rate. no other team in the league would have lost a two goal lead at home to WBA, shocking. Still think we should keep him though
