It's the perfect catch 22.
They have to play Rooney. Even if they don't want to, because his value automatically falls if he doesn't. So he has to play so he can find form and get his price up, and it would suit us perfectly. Either we'd get an in-form striker, or a cheap player we can mend ourselves, and destroy the rags either way.
So he either comes into form and then leaves, or he plays shit and drags the team down with him, making our path to the CL a hell of a lot easier.

I was as miserable as fuck yesterday what a difference a day makes. i wonder if the owners have been involved presumeably an offer of actual money is on the table?? is it from us?? Can someone clarify ... can a player sign outside the window even if he can't play until after the registration in the window??
