"Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle''

Simple question; on what basis is he getting these jobs? It must be his record as a player, because he's done the square root of fuck all as a manager. It doesn't follow that being a good player will make you a good manager. Look at Ferguson and Paisley; neither of them set the world alight as players.
And conversely, amongst many others look at Robert Charlton... fabulous playing career but at PNE....

Well it’s definitely nothing to do with his managerial record

Beaten 4-0 by newly promoted Sheffield Wednesday and, by all accounts, they were lucky to get nil.

Shrek played an archaic 4-4-2 formation and Plymouth were over-run.

Has a manager ever been sacked before September?
Didn’t Palace sack their manager after four games a few years ago?

Having endured him via our son beng a Derby supporter, I feel for Plymouth fans. It's hard enough as it is, but the writing is probably on the wall for this season already. He doesn't seem to have any idea or rapport with players wherever he goes. It's a question of will they be able to sack him and bring in a capable manager in time to save their season? Sheffield Wednesday found an outstanding talent in Danny Rohl. I'm not sure Plymouth can attract anyone like that.
