It completely ignores the fact they were setting up a new Arabic language operation with CNN so made all the journalists redundant and paid them off.

It does seem a few were sacked for printing a story that the authorities were not too happy with, but that's hearsay. But the story says they were allowed to resign with full benefits or be sacked. I mean, no company in the West has ever done that have they?
