Fuck it, not like I have any savings anyway. Always been distrustful of banks and I was proved right, to myself anyway! Only reason I have a bank account is for wages to be paid into.

I'm loving the whole thing! It's not like I have a big portfolio of shares that are all worth fuck all now. Sit back and enjoy the ride, thats what I say. As for GB being the right man for the job, I spilled my G&T when I read that. :-)

Gordon Brown is the man for the job, chinless wonder Tory boys haven't got a clue.

Worse world leaders since the 30s? What about Hitler, Stalin, Roosevelt, Churchill, Mussolini and Hirohito. Tens of millions died becasue of their egos in the 40s.

Also Regan and Thatcher in the 80s were not too clever, but I suppose you have to admire Gorbachev.

i) You're right about Brown, only person fit to lead this country now. Only leader who can stop the rest of the world dragging us down.

ii) Can't agree with you on Roosevelt and Stalin though - both dragged their countries out of the proverbial

iii) You're right about Gorby mind.

really should be nationalising a lot more stuff

the executive pay beneficiaries should be in jail

should have bought Galloway in to sort this mess out

Brown now has the perfect opportunity to bring back some traditional labour policies.Theres a open goal for social housing to be back on the agenda,as well as the possibility of re-nationalising other businesses.

He may get his reprieve, play his cards right and he'll condemn the tories to another 5 years in the wilderness.

ha ha ha ha!!!

Have you seen the price of gold lately? Now look at the price when he sold all of ours! He has no fucking clue. He's spent all the money the last tory government made and now hes bailing out the banks with money he hasn't got and no one is buying into it. Look at the FTSE yesterday. Look at the £ yesterday. No one believes this baillout will work. the market just laughed and sold up!

The only cure would have been strong independent leadership. Something he is not capable of. He will never regain the confidence of the nation and the only reason he's still leader is cause no-one wants the job before the next election defeat.

Ditto on the gold.

'Golden' Brown sold 400 tons of gold in 1999 at a 20 year low in the gold market at £275 per ounce, bringing critiscism for world leaders for de-stabilising the gold market and from other politicians for selling over half of the UK's gold reserve.

In March this year, gold broke the £1000 per ounce barrier for the first time and since the financial crisis has escalated and 'intelligent' investors race to secure their funds has jumped to £1500 per ounce. If you do the math you will drop your jaw at how much money he has lost this country.

Enough to buy a bank or two!

Nationalise Gas and Electricity today. Bring the railways back into immediate public ownership then call an election.
He'd walk it.

Have you really forgotten what BR was like???

FTSE down again this morning. I don't think GB asking for our money back from Iceland helped very much. If he's worried about 50b then where's he going to find 700b?

On a lighter note the Swiss Franc is getting stronger by the hour. :-)

You still got all that Nazi gold over there?

Not me personally! But there may be a few ingots floating around. There was a rumor that a lot of the local Jewish community had withdrawn their own gold reserves from UBS last week. UBS is the only Swiss bank that may really suffer as the other Cantonal banks don't mix private banking with business or trading so the capital isn't at risk.

As others have often said on here Gordon Brown is absolutely fab and the best man to lead us in(to) this current crisis.

Thank god we haven't got those nasty tories in power. Imagine what a shite job they'd be doing compared to our Gordon!!!

pmsl.

Which bit of my statement makes me a selfish fucker?

This is Brown's Falklands, down and out, a lame duck but the right person at the right time doing the right thing and his ratings will go through the roof.
