Last time it happened was boxing day '77 i think after again a 4 - 0
demolition of Newcastle, that's how long it has taken for us to be back in the big time, this season has been the most exciting I've ever known, (lowest ebb home to Everton) but we have waited so long for City to be right up there battling for the league, over 30 years, the future looks bright (and blue)
PS I do remeber us now come to think of it going top after beating Liverpool at Anfield in one of the Xmas fixtures 81/82, but it was a false dawn and we all knew we weren't the real deal, we are now

Birmingham have the joint best defensive home record in the league ..... and the rags have drawn almost every away game .....
