We buy any scrap car

My lad sold his Fiesta to WBAC couple of months back. Clutch needed doing and had a couple of dings. Quoted £1800 got £1400 which was more than fair. If you can drive it to their location it might be worth a shot as they won't road test it.

Cazoo, managed to palm off a car with a fucked turbo by unplugging it and clearing error codes, get best money normally too. Also palmed a beemer off that needed 1.5k doing to it they didn't clock any of the faults.

In all honesty, do you feel a tiny bit of guilt for the new buyer?

I ask as I have a similar dilemma. I haven't cleared any error codes and there is no light on the dash but I'm pretty certain there's an issue. I suppose I should just torch it myself.

Maybe the OP and I could get together and park next to each other and blame it all on bad luck.

I sold a car with a fucked gearbox to We buy any car. The questionnaire they sent only asked about the engine and bodywork and not the gearbox. They knew it wasn’t drivable and sent a pick up for it.
There’s one near me I could drive it too, I’ll probably try them

Cazoo sell it at auction to other traders who do the work on it.
