We can still win the league

Win tomorrow and I think prices will be as low as 6/1 so if you're feelling luck.

This. And we need a couple of big wins vs top 4 teams if we are to challenge.

But the rags & Sky need top 4, which means Chelsea could easily be down to 9 men & a pen behind when they go to the swamp.

And the first paragraph is the problem. Our record against top 6 sides over the last few seasons is abysmal.

Well either it changes sooner or later or we never win another title, so we can hope it changes sooner, rather than later.

Imo we were much the better side for the majority of the Arse, Spurs & Chelsea home games & the equal of two piss poor sides away v Liverpool, so no reason we can't do it if we get the rub of the green.

We may have been but we still didn't win. If we had got off to a bad start and were hitting top form I may think we have a glimmer but it's the erratic nature of our results and performances that for me means we will need to wait until next season to really see the side click. It was evidenced in two halves last week. Brilliant first half. Shite for 40 mins of 2nd. I think it's a huge ask for 3 players under the age of 22 to carry us to wins every game. I can see where the hope is coming from with the arrival of Jesus but I still think we don't have a good enough keeper, no one who can play left back well and are still relying on Yaya in midfield.

Having said that had we beaten Everton, Boro, Chelsea and Spurs which we should have done regardless of refs, we would be going into tomorrow's game 1 in front. It's fine margins. Our home form hasn't been good enough unfortunately. Only the 6th best in the league. Needs to be better than that.

And of course we are not capable of losing points to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and the rags? It's our erratic form that's the problem in this little fantasy not theirs. We nearly didn't beat Swansea last week when we should have dicked them.

What's the point of this comment?

Obviously we could drop points I think everyone knows that.

I would argue what's the point of saying Chelsea can drop points without acknowledging that we can. It's just one sided nonsense. Fixtures wise they have easier fixtures than us and currently an 11 point lead. It's no more than wishful thinking currently.

However if you believe it then fair enough. I didn't think it was possible in 12 either and I was wrong.

I'm sure what Pellegrinis results against the top 6 has to do with anything.

If you've watched the games against the top 6 this season, we've been very good. Beat the rags and Arsenal, got cheated against Spurs and Chelsea.

Only the Spurs Away game was disappointing in terms of performance.

I'm one of the premier league script writers and I'll tell you how the rest of the season will play out.

Chelsea will lose to City, United, and drop points at Everton and against Southampton

City and Chelsea will be level on points up until the Manchester Derby. Yes, the title will be decided at the Etihad against United.

Mourinho will be be faced with a personal dilemma on how to approach this match. On one side, United want to do whatever it takes to win because the derby means so much to the community and they don't want City to win the league. But Mourinho being the prideful man that he is does not want Chelsea to win the league with essentially the same team that got him sacked the year before. He has been taking digs at Chelsea's style of play recently because he is very spiteful and vengeful.

In the end, Mourinho's pride gets the better of him and he plays a "weakened" side that loses to City in the most important game of the season.

A man can dream :)
If you need to dream, only dream about hot nurse and hot librarian.
Until then keep calm and pass the ball to Jesus.
