We can still win the league

Like someone has already said in this thread we have a 10 percent chance of winning the league. But at least we have a chance.

Not only are we closest to them in the table, we also have to play them in a 6 pointer. Only us and the rags play them and rags are 4 points behind us. Do i reckon only we can catch chelski. Who knows, Maureen could do us a favour like he did in 2014.

On the downside, we have 4 of the top 6 to play. So if we lose them we could struggle for top 4 - not that I think we will. I reckon 3 wins and a draw!

Just need them to produce a couple of shit performances without the help of referees to bail them out oh, and getting shafted by said officials once or twice wouldn't go amiss either.

Absolutely pissing myself at your username. Quality

My thoughts in August was in Pep's first year I'd like top 3. I'd like to avoid the qualifier by finishing 4th. Romania was a great trip but knowing us we'd get a top side so let's get 3rd.

That said if any side could snatch the title it's us. Chelsea will know that.

Not just from a points angle, but we have the strongest squad for the stretch which is inevitably Spurs/Liverpool/Arsenal's downfall when injuries and exhaustion comes knocking.

It'll all hinge on our 4 games against the top six. Win three of them, including Chelsea, and it's game on. It's a huge test for Pep, particularly with the CL and FA Cup to play for, but that we can even talk this way after all the bullshit results we've endured courtesy of bent officials and outright bad luck, is a wonder.

It was 86 under Uncle P mate.

Cheers
I still can't see us getting 82, I think we've left ourselves too much to do

Both of our recent league wins have come on the back of great home form. We've dropped too many points at home this season

Yep. Some very tough games to come. What I would say is we seem to be finding some form at the right time and if we can continue to improve I'd fancy us against anyone.

At least we will know soon enough as those 3 games are not that far away.
We only have 3 prem games in 6 weeks though which isn't ideal when you have a bit of momentum.

The postponement of the derby will kill us. Can't put pressure on them when we're a game behind.

I think the CL and FA Cup can build momentum. It's about playing games together and winning, doesn't have to be in the same competition.

If Chelsea had say.. arsenal as the next team below them they'd be cruising and wouldn't slip up. However, they have the might city behind them and we're specialists in hunting teams down and winning the league from well behind. If Chelsea were to drop points in their next game you could see it taking its toll on them psychologically. Could see a meltdown and we can play a direct part in the whole process because we still have them to play!
