To me this sounds like a rag response along the lines of "We can do fine without Ronaldo" or "Tevez was nothing but a glorified substitute" and other self inflating rehashes of history.

Etoo is been bought because of his footballing skills and more importantly the marketing that can be done for the club off of his back.. he is the most famous african footballer there is and if hes playing for city then most africans will start to follow city creating a market for us out there. Eto'o all so raises the profile of the club in all other countries as he is known to be one of the best players in the world.
That is why we need eto'o
Etoo is been bought because of his footballing skills and more importantly the marketing that can be done for the club off of his back.. he is the most famous african footballer there is and if hes playing for city then most africans will start to follow city creating a market for us out there. Torres by a length of a football field for mine. He is one of 2 world class players in that team and still managers to score even with that headless chicken Kuyt getting in his way. And is also 3 years younger than Eto'o.
