we have been talking with Barca

The age thing is definitely less important in some positions.

The old thing about let your brain do the playing, and the ball do the running is great for someone like Vieira who will be asked to do a limited amount of running. But for Henry its legs, legs and legs surely?

I would suggest Yaya is the target as well as adding some nice cash to the working capital for this season.

Henry scored 26 goals in 42 games last season, I wouldn't call that past it lads.

Henry will score a minimum of 15 goals a season in a side that creates chance's for him, like ours would. Fact.

Yeah i'm looking for a new job :)

i think some of you are looking at the obvious players here but there is a certain player that mancini may well be very interested in and that is Maxwell one of mancini's players from inter!

My guess would be that they want Robinho, we want rid but they cannot give us the £20million+ for him so maybe a cash plus player deal?
EDIT:
Since we are looking to buy the worlds best young talent maybe they would give us 10 million plus bojan. I wouldn't mind that

Would be an awful deal imo. Bojan looks anything but the world's best you talent, regressed massively. Pedro has jumped way ahead of him in their pecking order.

Could be Henry, although im of the opinion that he is past his best, Italians dont seem to see age as a barrier, in serie A the best teams are littered with players that are 32+, and Ancelotti has extended Ballacks contract at the age of 33, and got Deco also 33 playing more often. If it is Henry I cant wait too see the welcome party he receives of Shay. Im hoping it could be 1 of Barcelonas fringe stars, ala Bojan, or that kiddie that comes on and scores every week, cant remember his name now, but either of those 2 would be a like for like for Robinho. Having said that Yaya would also please me.

This is right. Italian Manager's are just more realistic. They know they will coach a team for 2 or 3 years max - so they bring in short term signings to achieve what they can in the limited time they have available. English manager's typically behave as if they will be at a club for 20 years but of course that is rarely if ever the case. Mancini knows he must fashion a side that can win something by June 2011 - otherwise he will be history - bringing players who have won things previously is the best way to achieve immediate success.
