We have lost 1 game in 7 months!

If we're still unbeaten by the time we travel to Spuds then we should park the bus and play for a 0-0. Back 6 with 3 sitting midfielders and Haaland for his height in defending corners.

Ederson
Lewis--Walker--Akanji--Dias--Ake--Gvardiol
Bernardo--Rodri--Phillips
Haaland
If we’re still unbeaten by the time we go to Spurs on 20th April, we could be in a position where we could win the league there!

…and we’ll still lose 1-0.

Can’t wait to play the rags.
Every one of their 7.8 billion supporters will have googled the date and be dreading it coming.

One was a friendly
It’s not classed as a friendly. It’s classed as a minor trophy and goes on clubs’ Honours records, whereas things like the Thomas Cook Trophy or Asia Cup don’t as they are just friendlies.

Even the goals scored in the CS are counted towards players’ career goals, whereas the actual friendlies aren’t.

If its not a friendly then why do red card not result in a ban?

I wouldn’t say that’s the description and barometer of what makes something a friendly. Probably because it’s a one-off game.

FA Cup and EFL Cup yellow cards don’t count towards anyone’s total in the PL, so if Rodri picked up five bookings over the first five EFL and FA Cup ties, he wouldn’t face a suspension in the PL. Nor would he in either of the Cup comps because they don’t add up together either, they only count in the competition they’ve been picked up in.

Yet they arent suspended for the next community shield game. And when cards did carry forward across domestic competitions (pre 2019?), a red card still didnt result in a suspension nor did the yellow cards accumulate. Add in the fact that you can make more subs makes it a friendly in my eyes.
