We have to pull together.

agree

there will always be disagreements, it'd be nice if people could just retain a sense of humour about everything, and maybe tone down the dogma on certain issues.... like, um, i dunno....

'hughes out'

ok, if you believe he aint good enough, thats fine by me, but as long as he remains in charge please stop trying to convince everyone else that you are right and we are all deluded. for one thing, there are two sides to every story, and if you ignore the positives, you will just be more and more detatched from the great majority of fans who take a balanced view of how he is doing. just stay open minded, and bear in mind that preaching to us isn't going to convert anyone, it's just going to end in an argument. people will make up their own minds as things progress.

I pretty much agree with all of that, well said! Not so thick skinned myself though I have to admit. Very, very angry with the media, I mean you expect it from comics like the Mirror and The Sun, but the BBC?? Thought they'd have more class and a greater dedication to the pursuit of FACTS!

With regards Mark Hughes, if we were anchored to the bottom two, six or nine points adrift I could the understand the panic. But in a situation where one win is enough to elevate you to 11th place? Things really weren't that bad and still aren't. So the thing to do is accept that he's here at least until the summer, judge him on his first full season, get behind the club and especially the team. Focus on the positive FFS. The signings Hughes has made fit the bill, they're what the side needs. The club is still moving in the right direction.

This might sound stupid but I'm quite pleased we didn't get Kaka. I've supported City for 50 years and I personally don't wont us to just buy super stars and 'buy' the trophies. I want us to build a team and get to a position of being a top team where star players are clamouring to sign for us.
I've waited a long time for success. I can wait another 2-3 years.
I think Hughes has got the right idea. He's building a solid team with a bit of flair and things WILL get better.
I for one am excited by the future.
Come on you Blues!

I've visited Blue Moon daily for over two years, always as a guest and just another Blue eager for news on our beloved City.
It is only now, given recent events, that I feel the need to post something so here goes!
For years we've been a lot of people's second team and other supporters have sympathised with our plight, admired our loyalty, declared their desire to see us succeed at any level.
What we all as City fans need to realise is that those days have gone forever.
The utter dross that has come out in the media relating to our pursuit of Kaka confirms that the World and his Wife are now against us.
We all need to develop a thick skin and get used to the rubbish that will be written and said about City on a daily basis.
Ok, we didn't succeed with Kaka, but for the first time in our history the entire football world has been discussing our club and they now all know just how serious our new owners are.
Only today, I've seen and read things that I find utterly incredible.
a few little examples.....
Beckham feels Kaka has done the right thing not to be cash motivated.
How rich is that? This clown didn't go to L.A Galaxy for money did he?
We have paid well over the odds for Bellamy.
So the £20 million disaster that has been Robbie Keane to Liverpool was money well spent was it?
Al Fayed feels there should now be a salary/transfer fee cap.
The same clown who paid ridiculous wages at Fulham to get them from League one to the Premiership?
These are but three examples of what i'm talking about, the point i'm trying to make is that we need to ignore it, come together and get behind our club and owners.
Prior to all the events of this last week i had my doubts about MH, like many of us, but I now feel it is essential that we all get behind him and everyone at the club.
Let's show the world at the Newcastle game by really, really pulling together as one and giving the club our full backing and support at the top of our voices for 90 minutes!!
We are still the best fans in the world....we just need to all pull together now and maybe change our attitudes a little to suit our new found status.
you have just put a huge smile on my face
