We need a new left back.

In my opinion Bridge will be given this season to prove himself, and with the proper screening player in front of him I expect him to do a good job, in my opinion he was left a bit isolated last season, but who knows who is on MH's list.

can I just ask you all something why can you not just get behind bridge and the rest of the team, stop sayin we need new left back and give bridge a chance please he is a very good player and since he has come to city he has been injured so just see how he is after the summer break ffs

Do one mate. Is he not open to criticism. Would you pay £10 milliob for him had you had the option. For a player of his price tag I'd expect him to settle straight away. People are trying to say we need a new right back, when we are perfectly okay in that area, left back is the main problem.

Left back really is not such a big concern the only reason I can think of is why you say this is that there is no protection on the left wing becasue robi wont get back, I will say maybe we need a new left back to compete with bridge but bridge is an english internationl and you dont become one of them if you are shit do you? Name someone else who you could buy who is better and cheaper than 10mill? this will be good to see

i agree that bridge has been far from impressive defensively however downing and grosso are hardly going to improve us. and Aurelio is average.

personally i think with a bolstered midfield and robbie possibly dropping in behind the front man bridge may have more protection and not look as open.

i dont like bridge he`s too easily turned when somebody tries to beat him on his right he looks poor to say the least

bridge is ok but we need 2 quality anyway so i say personaly go for ,,lahm or zhirkov

Leighton Baines
Gareth Bale
That guy from Porto.

Didn't MH say that he would use Barry at LB if Bridge got injured, if that is so I don't think we will get any new LB this season.

every player that has played left back last season has had a hard job with no help unlike the right back who always has cover. wayne bridge will show how good he is next season with the help of gareth barry. people are far to quick to judge players and get on their back. as i have seen over the years this just ruins their city career . do we need a scapegoat every season
come on you blue boys

ok I will agree with you that Leighton Baines would be good but I dont think they would of let him go in jan and he woud cost more than 10mill as everton are robbin bastards.

Gareth Bale no way he is always injured and no way near as good as bridge

the guy from porto only person I can think of is the dude who had a good game against the rags but not sure.

am not tryin to argue with you hear mate just want us city fans to get behind the guy and help him as he is a good player :)

I cant see a specialist senior left back being signed unless as an understudy to push Bridge for his place.
To do this would be in effect an admission from Hughes that he got it wrong when he bought Bridge and at £90K per week wages thats a hell of a lot to be paying a reserve left back, irrespective of whether we can afford it or not. Its a hell of a lot even for a first choice left back. So I agree the most likely signing would be a versatile centre back who can cover at LB if needed, although they're arent too many of those around that are genuinely top class.

im not bothered about him being isolated he is been dire since arriving, even when he is one and one he doesnt challange, he lets crosses in week in week out and he either needs to improove massivly (which i think he could do) or we need a new left back.
