We did, but then again we always do . Never leave until the players go back in.

Strange one; normally I’d be pissed off after a loss but said to a pal when we met up in the bar behind SS1, I found it strangely refreshing. Think the fact that so many did stay ‘til then end - which was far more than I was expecting, who showed their loyalty after such a horrible defeat, gave me hope that the true core of fans will always be there.

We sit in CB1 and every week there are fewer and fewer faces that we recognise. Completely surrounded by people we’d never seen before. Mostly blues (they were wearing City scarves although no one joined in with chants that drifted across from SS1). None of them stayed.

My lad wants to relocate to SS1 next season because he’s fed up with the sterile atmosphere in our stand.

Will be interesting to see if there is any improvement at the derby; it will sort the wheat from the chaff because local fans will be up for it whereas, the tourists will do their usual thing and observe the natives with bemusement.
