Goes without saying.
we should also get behind the side when we aren’t playing well. We used to be great at that. Can’t just only sing when we play well
Absolutely but it needs a spark. A great block, a great tackle, anything to get the blood flowing. But there was nothing.
The mics would have been a Portuguese broadcasters dotted around the stadium. BT mics would have only been used for the studio coverage, pretty normal standard for a European game. But that also pissed me off before the game, the studio camped right in the middle of the Chelsea end.where i was sitting, it was quite noisy throughout 1 st half, plenty of singing, start of 2nd half was ok then faded as time went by, then picked up again when dino and aguero came on, unfortunately when everyone is spaced so far apart the sound is lost, and knowing likes of bt they probably had most of their mikes near the chelsea fans
it’s the champions league final. If we don’t sing then we never will. We shouldn’t need a great tackle to get behind the team.
We need to get our younger fans in. Pensioners monopolising big game tickets because “I’ve done the hard yards” has to stop.
You and the others that have 'liked' your stupid comment are the ones that are shite. £100 on a covid test that could have meant me not even boarding the plane, Portuguese government forms that meant if I did it wrong I wouldn't get in the country, up at 4am to make sure I was at the airport for the flight, £400 for the flights, hotel, taxis £150 for a ticket and you think because you couldn't hear any songs from the comfort of your armchair we were shite....OKNo we don't. Our fans in the stadium were shite, let's be honest.
Seen as the younger lot were there ones weeping after the game, they are not cut out to be City fans.We need to get our younger fans in. Pensioners monopolising big game tickets because “I’ve done the hard yards” has to stop.
Ballot possibly. I’m not sure even that would work. Youngsters are probably not in the habit of even bothering to check away ticket criteria as the oldies always hoover them up.How would you do that? Not having a go mate it's a genuine question.
This, x 1 millionWe need to get our younger fans in. Pensioners monopolising big game tickets because “I’ve done the hard yards” has to stop.
Exactly how it felt to me. City fans started louder but as the tension rose the noise got muddier and more desperate. It really was a frustrating and horrible match to be at. I was frightened to fucking death as the clock marched on and they kept stopping the game.It certainly wasn’t great at times but anyone saying Chelsea fans were the only ones singing for 90 minutes needs to give their head a wobble. City were way louder during the warm-up and bang on it once the game kicked off. Sure, it petered out and the Chelsea fans found their voices but they weren’t going at it all game. Plenty of times they went quiet too. And I bet if the match had not gone their way, they’d have been quiet as mice.
Families with kids are just as bad for the atmosphere as pensioners but at least that has the benefit of getting a new generation on board.Seen as the younger lot were there ones weeping after the game, they are not cut out to be City fans.
I agree more families should be going with kids, but not the 18-25 scroats who abuse families, the wannabe MIB/Ultra lot that came with success.
No I wasn’t, but that’s all I could hear, plenty of others commented on it as well, some were at the game. If it was down to the broadcaster’s set up then great, I retract what i said about the other night, but I’ve also seen the same thing in Cup finals at Wembley, when a large number of fans don’t want to know.I take it you weren’t at the game then
We got down to the river at bang on midday on Saturday and there was full on singing and table dancing going on already by then.I’m no spring chicken myself but always try and get things going. However, it was noticeable that many of the young pups bouncing around by the river on Friday night and throughout Saturday didn’t seem to be in the ground. I’m guessing most didn’t have tickets.
On a more general note, City fans do tend to go on the piss in a big way on these trips and I think many “punch themselves out” before they get to the stadium and once the match kicks off they have little energy left.
No we don't. Our fans in the stadium were shite, let's be honest.
