Ah good, the guy that doesn't care how much he sounds like a rag is out defending the chant again with another genius sarcastic reply.

What is wrong with sarcasm? And show me where I defended the song? (hint: you can't)

And I don't sing it as I am far too posh for all that sort of thing.

And I couldn't care less who I/we sound like. So many liddle ciddy fans obsessed with the Trafford ***** that they act as the basis for everything they say or do.

If you don't like it then don't sing, but a thread on here after every single game is pointless. Or the op could atleast use the search facility and carry on one of the miriad of other threads about the song.

Dead right. People get so upset about meaningless shit like this.

I honestly think some of our younger fans have become permanently damaged by constantly living in Man United's shadow. Everything they do or say is comparing us to them.
Only a rag would say something so raggy you complete ragster

We sing it because we actually believe that we can score whenever we want to.

The fact that we can score whenever we want to is what sets us apart from other, inferior clubs.

Is this ironic? Because if it isn't this is exactly the rag-line mentality the OP is talking about.

I hope I haven't just clarkied myself!

I obviously dont mean that we can score whenever we want, that would be silly. I mean it can take a few seconds to regain possession from the restart so that obviously needs to be taken into account.

And just to clarify when we used to sing best team in the land and all the world and we're going to win the league/cup that was ironic.

But now raglike, correct?

I agree with the OP, makes me cringe every time fellow blues sing it.
I hate it and I'm praying it will fade off ASAP.

I see where your coming from but its not like we sang "we score when we want" when under Stuart Pearce

Sad isn't it.

Should only be sung to the rags at the swamp. I think the Southampton was a nice little reminder that it may come back to bite us in the end.

edit: ok maybe at WHL as well if we are comfortable with ten mins to go.

what a sad heap of utter shite this is.

even when we've won the league we are also singing "we never win at home and we never win away"- that's self-depreciating good humour from the City fans...why no comment on that OP ?

what are we supposed to do, not sing "championis" in case any fans of the other 19 prem clubs get offended

OP needs to get a grip, get a life, it's harmless banter
