We were lucky today

But we were incredible lucky, at least until silva came on. Towards the end when we hit the bar and post, I did feel it was a somewhat deserved victory. But earlier in the game, oh dear did we ride our luck. There is no question about that. Trying to ignore that is just incredible arrogant and ignorant.

By the same token we had a goal that was arguably offside, They had a goal disallowed for what was arguably onside, Cambell missed a chance that even Santa Cruz would have scored, Our second goal could have been given a foul....

depends how you look at it
Not to mention their second goal was offside
successful teams are often lucky 3 points is 3 pouints

Funny, we seem to win every game and score every goal through luck and poor decisions!!

At least thats what the media would have everyone believe!!!!!!

Exactly.

Blackpool played far better than us and worked much harder for the vast majority of that game, they were very unfortunate not to get something from the game, that is until Silva changed the game, superb cameo and needs to play more often,we flow much better with him in the side and the added bonus of Silva's presence is that Adebayor is not in the 11,win win!

Play shit,3 points,awesome.

I voiced the opinion yesterday after Spuds nicked it at The Cottage that Tottenham and a few other well-known beneficiaries during the course of a match get every gramme of luck going.

Today we came in for some good fortune.

Seriously, I don't know why we don't approach these games as though yer playing Chelsea. It seems to me that City set out to 'contain' in the gentlest of manners and seek to exercise a blatant 'smash and grab'. I think we will see a different mentality against The Arse next week.

1st goal offside?

i thought not. if my eyes didnt deceive me when they showed that digital line feature on a freezeframe, tevez's feet were behind the last planted leg of that defense when the ball was played. again, if my eyes are true, it was because tevez was leaning more towards the front than the defender was what made the offside illusion.

If any part of the player that can be used to score a goal is in an offside position then the player is offside, therefore Carlos was offside for our first, but hey ho, how many times in the past have these decisions gone against us?

the result is all that counts and the league table does not lie

:-)

playing badly and winning at the top of the table is an attribute of, err, dare I say it......
say it m8, its the sign of a team that can challenge for the title.

'Fraid not. There were two of our lads on the line (one at each post) so, even though the goalscorer was beyond Hart, there were two opponents nearer to the goal than he was.
