I can see your desperate for City to fail, but it's a blip. Question is how long will it last

City's team are too good for it to last, but you might have some joy in the next week as games are coming thick and fast with no time for rest.

We had the majority of possession and chances, but we lacked the fluidity that comes with playing games together. This team does not normally play.

Could easily have nicked that game, or held on to a draw. But the Reds have another laugh. enjoy it while it lasts.

we were unlucky to get a result,
although as usual city showed they cant go anywhere and win using squad players.
swp as far as im concerned is finished at city.
Adam Johnson is over rated needs to become a good left winger. His free kicks were pathetic.1st cross in open play was in the 90th minute.
James Milner is solid but hasnt the guile to change games.
Boyata looks nervous and has gone backwards.Bridge and Richards cant defend.Given not at fault but shows there no point having an expensive 2nd keeper.
Mancini is under pressure and as he and hughes have found out its not easy getting a winning team out of lots of big name players.
I feel its time for a big shake up of playing staff with big name players on huge contracts getting the chop ,ala Rsc, SWp ,Bridge, Richards.Toure brothers,Jo .

Surely we were missing the Toure brothers tonight?

I like Bridge, Richards etc.. one or two may go in January, but we need to qualify for the Champion League and we need squad players. Whether some will be prepared to settle for that, I don't know. It was amuch changed team tonight, and players looked a bit out of sorts because of all the changes in my opinion, but what was the manager to do? Play the 1st 11 with 3 games in 7 days to come? Couldn't really criticise the selection tonight, but with hindsight I wish Vieira had not played. Time for him to hang up his boots

In football you create your own luck, and I'm sorry but we just didn't create enough tonight.

Some serious soul searching needs to be done be the players I think.

Townsend said everybody was average, nobody played well - that about sums it up

Totally agree... just to be clear I am not in the Mancini out camp, the performances against Liverpool and Chelsea show what he can do, but some of the players need to buck their ideas up.

Boateng, NDJ, Kompany, Silva, Hart and Tevez are the only consistently good performers at the moment... simply not good enough for a 25 man squad.

No excuses , not good enough against a side struggling in the Polish League.

I would hazard a guess that if we don't get good results in November in the premiership the owners will wield the axe again.

Yes probably too soon but with the money spent and the players assembled and the wages they are paying they expect much better than we have delivered this season especially performance wise.

As I said previously the next two games will tell a lot about the current set of players and the management and whether they are made of the stuff the premiership demands of you to be successful.

Surprised you included Boateng in that list. For me he's average. Kolo Toure has been far more consistent this season - all be it he made one costly error at Wolves.

-- Fri Nov 05, 2010 2:11 am --

We're still joint top of the group...some people are acting like we've just been knocked out
