I don't agree that we would get mullered in the CL, the squad is still growing and developing together. Look at how many games the likes of Kolarov, Balotelli and Dzeko have played, it is still a relatively new squad which is going through a bad spell.

You're right though, it's not Bob's way to go at teams with pace. The full backs need to create more chances for me, but he goes at teams in a controlled (slow) way.

Nice. £350 million spent, look like missing out on the top four when the UEFA financial regulations come into play but all is cushty! Miss out on the Champions League this year and we're fucked but you've told me we will get there despite footballing knowledge telling us otherwise so I am going to bed a happy man.

Agree at the moment they would, I certainly wouldn't like us to be playing Barca next week.

The strategy is to qualify this season though. This team will be older and wiser by next season and we will add a couple more top quality players to it. Like I say, it's still a fairly young team which will grow. We can't continue with the current policy of re-building the whole team every season.

if we were in position to be playing Barcelona, ie we made the Champions League last year, we wouldn't be having arguments about why RM is playing Jo and Patrick Vieira. We would have bought more and perhaps differently.

I agree mate, what we have done is spunked too much cash on average joe's so in reality the £300 mill outlay is prob only really worth 150 mill in actual talent if you get what i mean?
