We WILL thrash West Brom!

Past experience suggests that we need to lose to West Brom in order to beat the scum!

West Brom is not an easy place to go. This is a team that took 4 points and scored 5 goals in trips to Old Trafford and the Emirates recently.
 
Linesman ; 'Marc you can NOT give that goal. Nani practically picked the ball up. After you saying that ball didn't cross the line when it was two foot over they'll start thinking you're a tad biased.'

Twattenberg ; 'Ye...well....i said play on ... goal.'

Linesman 'But what about the blatant handball and the fact that I signalled a free kick.'

Anyway, i have to say that i felt for your lot on Saturday, the scum at the swamp is never easy and their 12th man really makes a difference right now! As much as it pains me to say it, i actually agree with 'Brown Bag Arry' on this one, simply one of the worst refereeing decisions of all time!

Forget the rights and wrongs and technicallities of the actual incident for one minute (And i am a grade 7 ref over here, so i know nothing right :-)!) but the fact that the lino did not run back to the 1/2-way line (the internationally recognized signal to the ref to say the goal is good!) and actually stood stationary with his flag raised (again the internationally recognized signal to the ref to say that there's an issue with giving the goal!) which Twattenburk acknowledges and then goes to discuss (along with Camel gob........of course!!) and after a long discussion.........gives the goal...

So the question i would love to know the answer to is, WTF did the lino see and what was he discussing with Twattenburk??

So say this whole affair sticks to high heaven is a gross understatement!!

Still, after our disaster at Wolves, it leaves us pretty neutral in the league with your lot and like you say, lets discuss around the turn of the year before any of us start getting too excited about our relevent league positions :-)

Hi there....

Well I have heard from a pal of mine who is a director at Spurs who spoke to Gomes after the game and he said the ref never said played on, he made a gesture with his hands with Clattenburg says means play on and Gomes said he took it to mean put the ball down its a free kick.....

When the lino (I will always call them that), flagged it was to speak to the referee (hence the flag was so late).... he told MC that Nani had handled the ball and it was a free kick to Spurs, the ref apparently said I know but I told Gomes to play on....

Well the thing is, he never "told" Gomes to play on and has admitted that maybe he should have communicated his decision better.... well yes Mark you should have....

Secondly, the lino gave him a way out..... and he declined it...

Thirdly, what the fuck was camel face doing after all our players were sent away and went away

Fourth, how does that ginger cnut Scholes get away with shoving the ref

I really do give up with that place.... what was Mike Riley the refs chief doing giving clattenburg that game knowing full well he has previous......

1) The Mendes goal at OT in 2005
2) Awarding Lady boy a penalty when really it should have been Olympic Gold for diving at WHL in 2007 (we lost that one 3-1) but the penalty at 0-0 4 mins into the 2 mins of added time at half time....

If this twat gets a game to ref at WHL I fear for his safety, it only takes one nutter....

And he would get the biggest cheer for doing it.....
 
Quite possibly the most ludicrous,embarrassing and arrogant thread i've seen on here.

West Brom are playing excellent football,moral appears high and they'll be well prepared and ready to take a scalp,make no mistake,this will be a very tough game.
 
Wouldn't at all suprise me if we got beat by West Brom next week. I certainly wouldn't put money on us getting even a draw.

Title contenders ?? Haha, we'll be lucky to get 4th if we carry on playing like we have this season.
