we will win our next 8 (eight) games!!!

Looking at the previous poster and the list of relatively comfortable Home games to come, the problem is that the crowd will soon be on the backs of the players and management, making it even more difficult to win at home than away, where there will be less pressure. On the same theme, has anybody seen the schedule of Away games left? They include easy ones like Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U, Everton etc.

Here you go:

Blackburn Rovers
Portsmouth
Stoke City
Liverpool
West Ham United
Chelsea
Arsenal
Everton
Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur

My prediction was 7 points from those games

Blackburn Rovers - D
Portsmouth - L
Stoke City - W
Liverpool - L
West Ham United - D
Chelsea - L
Arsenal - L
Everton - L
Manchester United - L
Tottenham Hotspur - L

I've tried to be honest with my predictions. 5 points I reckon. So we'd need to pick up 17 at home to be safe.

Win at Stoke away? Doubt it.

Draw at WH? Doubt it.

The rest are correct.

GOD - That's fucking depressing

Might as well get ready for Championship football next season

FFS

I know i've said get rid of Hughes and all that - But it seems he's staying for now.

Let's see who he manages to get in January then when/if he fucks up we can build the gallows

The last time we were at the Hawthorns didn't we get battered.

Newcastle looked good yesterday and Hull are no mugs, whilst Boro and Wigan are boggy teams. Stoke, Pompey & Blackburn are all away from home and we don't travel well.

I would be satisfied with 3 wins. 3 draws & 2 defeats from that lot.

12 points from 8 games? Well that would be fairly crap, but still 50% better than our current scoring rate, so yes I'd settle for that as well.

GOD - Why couldn't my dad have been a follower of Ush!ted or someone.

Thought we were supposed to be Gods own team and all that - He must be punishing us for something -

Do you think he blames us for that Apple ????

a few points on your topic..

1: we've not managed a win against any of those teams all season, apart from stoke.
2: we've already lost to west brom
3: where are the goals going to come from???

we will be lucky if we're not bottom soon

Wed 28th Jan H Newcastle United Premiership Kick-off 7.45pm
Sat 31st Jan A Stoke City Premiership Kick-off 12.45pm
Sat 7th Feb H Middlesbrough Premiership Kick-off 12.45pm

All very winable games. Not one team who, on paper we should be worried about. We need to get our act together now and should look to take maximum points from all of them.

I will judge Hughes at this point. See who we get in Jan and what happens in these games.

If we are still in bottom 1/4 of table then get rid.

Given our woeful 2-1 defeat as WBA perhaps you should rename this thread to "we will win our next 7 games"... though I still doubt that it will happen.

13 points from 7 games. If we beat Pompey in the rearranged game we will get the 16 points which I said was realistic later in the thread.

Lots of miserable bastards were predicting that we would hardly get a point. I think we are slowly starting to improve. The loss Vs Stoke and West Brom were hard ones to take as we should have got something from both those games.
