My thoughts exactly, if we win everyone will be saying that the scum fielded a weakened team and that nobody cares about it and it is only a friendly
But if the scum win, the media will be saying that Robbie will be sacked and that the scum got revenge on us and it will be a serious game if they win

I know it's only pre-season but still want to win against the rag t***s!!! Just to see them clear wembley even quicker than the semi!
 
Even if it was us VS the scum in a kick about in a park I would take it seriosuly and be nervous before hand just to see us beat the scum is an amazing feeling

Just listened to the Mancini press conference! I just like to say I want twat that interviewer gets on my fucking tits he keep bringing up the negativity! Just wish Mancini would fucking tell him to STFU
 
It is only a charity game. But there's some psychological importance to it for both sides , especially us. Both managers know they will be directly competing at the very top of the league, and the proper derby match results should have a big hand in deciding the title.

I think we are favourites and I expect us to win. It's a long time since I thought that before a derby
 
I just worry about Taggart telling his men to go out and put Silva or someone on his arse, last thing we need is an injury the week before the season starts, I'll be whincing every time a dirty rag puts in a tough tackle. Mancini should get De Jong to keep walking past thier changing room before kick off cracking his neck muttering "if they even breathe near me I'm going to kill them"
 
Just had the same from a rag mate. Told him I agree, if we win it's a marker for the season if they win it's a meaningless charity game.
 
It was like this in the League Cup semis (1st Leg) all the rags were saying that the League Cup is meaningless but as soon as they went through it was all of a sudden important, it is really unfair but we will have to make everyone sit up and take notice again like we did in the FA Cup semis

If we win, morale boost to start of the season and bragging rights. If we lose, just a friendly. Works both ways! & if we're not sold out, more strength to our argument, if we lose, that it's just a friendly!
 
If you want my prediction for the headlines on Monday, the most likely one for me is going to be:

City show United no charity at all, as they show a rampant intent thrashing the Trafford side 4-1.
