Weather claims City trip to Genoa

Good thing For City, one less match to play, this kind of match needs to be played either at the end of the season or pre season...................

Good. A weeks training at home is whats needed now. 7 days off before the next game. No excuses if we dont beat Villa.

This can be done in the Summer.

Exactly my view.

It wasn't so much the match, but the travel..... (even though I think it would have been a 2nd string)

Fly to Italy, game, fly back, travel to Villa, play Villa, travel back, fly to Porto, play and fly back...

I'm sure if flights have been cancelled then fans who were going to Genoa will be alright..... hope so anyway - but for me, I'm glad it's off - hope the people in the city can get funds via other sources to help them out asap

Called off 36 hours before flight about to leave. Annoying more than anything, no chance of getting money back on flights, hotel needs 3 days notice for a refund & taken 2 days off work too.

Wish they had called it off whilst we were over there, game is usually one of the worst parts of the euro trips.

I don't really buy that charity connection. How can the so-called floods of Genoa be compared with the recent floods of Australia, Philipines, Thailand and the many earthquakes all over the world? It sounded very odd to me.

Got to feel sorry for the blue alliance lads. The club should makes some sort of a gesture to the ones who've wasted their money . Free hospitality at a game or something.

It would have only been the EDS plus possibly Mario/Hargreaves playing and the rest of the boys will have had a nice few days training over there. Either way it wouldn't have hindered us (it's only a two+1/4 hour flight). Plus it's a shame for the citizens of Genoa and Blues who booked to go. This will end up going ahead in pre-season anyway.

But we will have a good week in Manchester (or Trafford) training all week. Big game on Sunday.
