Fair enough, I just think the atmosphere at this match will be ellectric regardless.
I would love to see that, everyone turn up stone cold sober no scarves no banners no blue shirts whatsoever,we could all sit down & sing our hearts out for the lads like we always do.
Standing should be banned for this game we don't need it we have seats.

?

Watch a game of this importance sober?

Are you crazy?
Getting the train to the airport at 9.50 with a couple of tins, then to the airport for a pint, fly out at 12.15 into speke about 1, a couple of tins on the bus to shambles where i will have a beer or two before heading to the townley to get a drink, by 7.40 i should have lubricated my vocal chords well enough to get behing the lads for 90 minutes + fergie time if needed.

Its about time we supported each other in things. We should'nt knock anyone who has this club at heart. Nothing wrong with ideas and thoughts that are shared with fellow blues. If you want to sing, sing with all youve got. If you want to take stuff like scarves, banners, ticker tape, inflateables, take all you can and more. If you want to go in fancy dress, go for it. We should do the whole shooting match and lift the place with vocals and visuals. I think its fair to say we share a common goal, lets just do our thing and raise the roof!. It's bad form to be critical of others who's only wish is to make for a good night and get behind the team. 20 years ago, ide be plastered shouting my head off from begining to end. Now i join in with some songs, ware my colours and lob some ticker tape or whatever. Live and let live and lets share one aim. 3 points on Wednesday!

Oh dear, any attempt to have a laugh at football is so readily dismissed as a 'gimmick' - and not part of our history somehow. All we need to do is sing blah, blah, blah. What, because you can't sing if you're holding an inflatable, scarf or in fancy dress?

just sing loud and proud, don't let it go quiet even if they score first like it did v villa.our club needs us,circle the wagons,12th man etc etc c'mon blues play your part.

This "gimmick" thing is done by clubs that piss all over our support & it galvainises them as one. Our loudest on sat was when singing about a City player dying in an aircrash,we need to create an atmosphere that everyone can join in not just the drunks so fair play to the guys with the banners etc.

I agree. Well, not about the Munich song bit, the loudest we were on Saturday was singing Blue Moon after the third goal. But otherwise yeah, bring on the so-called 'gimmicks'.

Any chance of squeezing the players in somewhere so they can warm up?!?!?!

Aggree, when we got the 3rd, that is how Bluemoon should be sung and use to be in the Kippax, non of this fast beat rubbish, just proved once again when we are left to it we come up come with the goods.

What needs to happen on Wednesday night is that EVERY fans sings their heart out from the moment they enter the stadium to the moment they leave. We don't need gimmics to create an atmosphere, us as fans can do it and if we do it right we can create the ultimate intimidating experience for the tottenham players.
It's nothing to do with gimmicks, card displays & huge banners add to the occasion, attempting to put a downer on something someone suggests certainly doesn't help.
He is correct on what he says though
