Cure for insomnia....

Carroll had a good game... as a defender.

Some play was promising but as said it's been boring as fuck.

I'd rather we played entertaining attacking football where our forward was actually a striker and not a Sweeper (Carroll)
And lose...
 
Some world class hoofing there. The one positive is that the first time we have beaten Norway for 44 years.
 
Good first half an hour but after that it was no better than average to be honest, quite sloppy, giving the ball away, not being able to put sustained passes together. Norway had a lot of possession in the second half, luckily, they didn't really cause us much problems with it. So all in all not brilliant but something to build on for Hodgson.

Great to see two City players wear the captains armband. Barry wasn't on long but I think Lescott did a decent job when called upon tonight. I so hope Cahill doesn't just walk back in and take his place.

But Kelly and Oxlade Chamberlain? Winning an England cap has become far too easy and it is devaluing the privilege of playing for England. Yes they may both have great futures ahead of them, but they have not done enough yet to be playing for England, especially not in games when we are trying to prepare for a major tournament.

Might well be the best way, as the England v Spain game showed.
 
Cos it's football, and there's City players involved.

Standard is well below Premiership. No pass and move. Get Barry in front of back 4 and put 4 in midfield with a pacy player like Young up front. Can't pass and move with two central midfielders and two players on the touchline. Hodgson will go to Euros and first priority will be defending. England possibly has the best chance they have ever had with Hodgson as he knows their limitations. But AJ should be in the team. One forward with genuine quality
 
Wish England would fuck off and die, wish those commentators and pundits would see their mouths shut..... Absolutely criminal
