Not so much weird, as just wrong.....Dolphin.

In my defence, was up in the wild north of Hokkaido, Japan, and din't know what it was til I was told.

Could it have been "Dolphin-Fish"? That's a really good tasting fish and isn't related to the bottle nosed dolphin we think of when we hear "dolphin". Dolphin-Fish, or "Mahi Mahi" as it's called here is really popular, served in almost every restaurant and really good.

It was in a stew.I had no idea it was dog until after.Tasted quite nice in a chewy,shouldn't really be eating this kind of way.

chickens feet and various other bits and bobs with a chinese mate of mine.

if it walks, crawls, flies, swims, or slithers, the chinese will eat it.

You can get ostrich in the Yang Sing in Manchester, and I believe there is an ostrich farm in Cheshire.
