What does everyone think will happen to him in the summer, one of the last few players from 2008 youth cup winning side had a good spell at rangers and from the few games I saw of espanyol this season he seemed one of there best players.
We will probably sign a winger this summer so chances are either johnson or weiss will sold and the other staying as back up. Not sure which I would keep personally as johnson although has scored some great goals has been so poor at times this season.
 
Looks like he's to be sold, interest from Italy and elsewhere and he only has 1 year left on his contract. There's not much hope for our academy players at the moment, even the jewel of the academy who some of Europe's biggest clubs like (Guidetti) if the transfer rumours of bringing in another A grade striker are true.
 
He will be sold. He doesn't really want to be at our club, and with Hazard signing he will be way down in the squad.
 
A twitter search seems that there's a lot of Turkish buzz about him.

I like him and his upside but he never turned into the elite player, just the good player. Sure he'd be good for 5-10 pl appearances and cup ties, but I'm sure he'd rather get time elsewhere. Unfortunate, but that's the business aspect of it.

But doesnt that article reference those quotes from being around te time when johnson signed? So 2 years ago

Not sure but him saying "Fortunately, we got Adam" sounds like well after the event.

They talk about us being like Barcelona but we're heading the way of Real Madrid at the moment, success at any cost. Not that you can blame them, we've been a success starved club and want to accelerate ourselves quickly, but would be nice if SOMEONE could break through to tell the other kids "You have a chance".
 
IMO i think Weiss is a better 'all round' player than Johnson. He's quick, gets past players, capable of putting in a cross in addition to getting back to assist in defence. City have been a team bought up on good wingers; Summerbee, Tuart, Barnes etc so I would like to see the lad be given the same chance AJ has had.
 
He is shit, never saw what all the hype was about when he broke on to the scene. He will end up in some shit country or at a mid table team in Europe at best.

Good luck to him though.
 
Don't think he's good enough now unfortunately. Not going to displace anyone in our team/squad now.
 
Fenerbahce are preparing a 4m bid for Manchester City's Vladimir Weiss.

City outcast Weiss is set to leave the Etihad this summer having grown tired of struggling to break into the first team.

Hopes were high that Weiss could make it at City when he made his first team debut back in 2009, having starred - and scored - in the FA Youth Cup final win over Chelsea a year before.

But he has not developed as hoped and with City committed to signing the world's top talent, Weiss has seen his hopes of a regular first team spot vanish.

The 22-year-old has impressed on loan at Rangers and Espanyol, with the Spanish side keen to keep him following a decent campaign.

But Fenerbache are also interested and it is understood they will make an offer this summer.

Kiev almost signed him last year but he turned them down. It's Turkish and Spanish teams mostly interested in him this year. I wish him well, I think he's going to have a very good career.

think it depends how he does on loan in the prem, but i agree would love to see him as our no.9
