Welcome Abdukodir Khusanov

It's like a chip muffin for southerners mate.
Nothing to do with us!!
Muffins are for b/fast, nothing like a 'bread roll / bap" .....and chips generally go in bread (chip butty)
......I still have no idea what a fucking 'barm' is?? Sounds like what Jocks call their kids ;)

If you Google "English Muffin".....that's the ONLY thing called a muffin down here.....unless your thinking of things to do with a woman ;)

You can't ask for a chip butty in a chippy, it's a bloody muffin :)

The etiquette is all wrong here.

Surprised by Pep's comment that this lad speaks only Russian and Uzbek. Obviously, the country's former Soviet history means that anyone born while the USSR was in existence (and it practical terms, for some time afterwards) had to know Russian well, but I was told recently by the partner in my firm responsible for trying to develop business among Uzbek clients that English is much more popular as a second language now. She explained to me that she almost always has to speak English in meetings with people over there who are in their thirties or younger.

Anyway, if Pep wants to make use of my considerable experience of helping Russian speakers to improve their English, even if they have only a very basic level at the outset, then I'm available to come back to Manchester on a short-term contract to work with Abdukodir until the end of the season. If Pep agrees, I'll even take one week of Erling's new salary as my remuneration for the entire four-month contract period. Come on, Baldie, you know it makes sense! ;)
Presumably his Russian comes from playing in Belarus?

It was difficult to tell how he's going to develop based on the Chelsea performance. He is probably thinking about the first 5 minutes but thereafter he won his duel with Jadon Sancho perhaps in part because City as a team were on top.

Manchester City have really needed a right back to replace Kyle Walker. Khusanov is a right sided defender who looks like he might be able to play as a right back but it is surprising that City bought a 20 year old rather than a player in his mid 20s like Marmoush or the defensive signings like Stones that we bought when Pep first came to City.

Manchester City spent £60m on Reis and Khusanov as players for the future. As a fan, thinking about coming up against Martinelli, Diaz and Vinicius Junior, I would be more confident with a ptoven right back butI cannot name one who might have been available in January. I think we have done the right thing in bringing in a player who can reinforce our defence this season in what appears to be a permanent defensive injury crisis. Stones was very assured when he came on vs Chelsea but will he survive Brugges? I really hope so.
