But if we're to start Donnarumma - it's a sea change.... and given his presumably high wages - he's our #1.
Yeah we'll need to see how this works out in practise - but for me... it's got disaster written all over itl.

I thought that he's an excellent shot stopper - turns out that he's worse than Ederson and far worse than Trafford even in current form.
Donnarumma is so bad on the ball that he doesn't sweep and insead pretty much remains in goal.
His passing ability is terrible too - he doesn't typically take goal kicks and he'll never, ever show for the ball.
The thing that Donnarumma excels at is - having realized his weakness at sweepting - is staying in goal all of the time and forcing attackers to beat him.
I didn't realize this at all - but this video convinced me:
Given that this is true - it seems to be - ... I've no clue at all what we're doing with respect to recruitment.

Why is there so much negativity about Donnarumma? Eddie has gone, he went of his own accord, he no longer wanted to play for Manchester City FC, and good luck to him for the future. We have replaced him with one of the top goalies in world football at a very cheap price .Trafford may develop into a world class goalie, but he is not that right now Donnarumma is . City and Pep will probably have to develop a new style of play to adapt to Donna , but i don't see that as a bad thing ,we have been found out so time to adapt

Top 1 or 2 'keepers in the world right now.
Trafford has had bad spells, particularly League 1 where he was easily bullied and dropped for Savin, and he showed the same the last time in PL losing vital points v Luton, eventually dropped for Muric.
Every team has started targeting 'keepers now more than ever in decades.
Apart from that Donnarumma wins big games and will impose himself on the team driving up standards.
