Welcome and lets have great success.

We have best of both worlds tbf

Teams that go high press direct and take pot shots from around the box play donanruna he will block everything coming at him.
Teams we know like to play for free kicks and corners and crosses into the box play trafford, who is acomplished at catching and taking the ball of a defenders head

Play the keeper who strengths match the opposition attack tactics as sboth are 1st team worthy

Footwork is irrelevent if the defence is wobby

I swear the weird obsession with playing the ball at his feet needs to stop.

Hes one of the best shot stoppers in the world.

Also he conceded 1 goal against a press heavy team in Liverpool over 180 mins of football.

Pressing is not some ingenious new tactic that nobody knows how to play against. If you know it's coming, you know what to do. Drop one midfielder briefly to overlap if there's an issue. Don't do what Trafford did against Brighton and send John Stones into the corner with two men on him.

Lastly, he's only 26, why can he not develop his footwork further? Why is he considered the finished article?

As sad as I am to see Ederson go, this was the absolute best replacement for the job.
It is also a clear message, along with signing Reijnders, Ait Nouri, Marmoush, that Pep is going for a more direct system. Possession is still crucial but we will move the ball forward more quickly like PSG. Donnarumma is also a leader on the pitch, Captain of Italy. It’s a bold move like the one Pep made to axe Joe Hart.

World's no.1 goalie, DM in Rodri and striker in Haaland in the spine. Hopefully they all come back safely from the international break and hit the ground running against the scum

Exactly. You can play possession in a team that has a lot of pace in it. We've become incredibly slow in the last 2 years and they're trying to rectify that by going younger and quicker in the outfield.

And yeah leadership is a vital thing here.

Not so.

As soon as he attempts numerous 100% foreseeable risky/bad passes - and can't sweep and otherwise obviously isn't a fit for our system - then... I'll post that I told you so.

That said, I think that Donnarumma in the right side, playing to his strengths, at least on current form, is one of the top keepers in the world. But he's now our #1 and we absolutely play in a manner which highlights his weaknesses.

Which leads me to this:
Why the fuck did we sign him?
Why the fuck did he agree to be in our side?
Even if you’re right. Which I don’t think you will be. What satisfaction will you get from it?

Isn’t it much better to be positive or just shut the fuck up?

Just noticed that Donnarumma in his 1st season at Milan played a couple of times with De Jong.

NDJ was mostly an unused sub at that point and left Milan during the season in January 2016.

Yes, Donnarumma became the 1st choice keeper for Milan when we signed KDB!

I'm flabbergasted at how many people think we were gonna go into the season with a 22 year old from the Championship as our number 1.
I don’t think it’s that crazy. We went with a 23 year old unproven ederson and a very young Joe hart who’d just come back from a loan in the championship

He’s a fucking wum. Hasn’t got a scooby what he’s talking about. Just repeating what other rival fans are saying, who also have no clue.

To be fair Eddy had played in the Champions League for Benfica and had been named in the full Brazil squad before he had to pull out due to injury. Hart played for Birmingham in every game he was eligible for and ended up finishing 9th in the PL.
