OK so he aint great with his feet... but he played with PSG who are the most possession dominating team in the world, he must be at least.. decent? He was absolutely fantastic when I saw him in the CL, especially vs Villa.

He is actually alright with his feet. No worse than others outside of Ederson.

Ederson is just a one off in that department.

Do you have to always tell us where you sent your post from?

I'm so confused by the current rebuild. Unlike a lot of people here I think we are signing great players who could really do something, but they don't seem like Pep players at all. Either Pep really is reinventing himself and sticking around for longer or he's leaving next summer. Interesting times regardless, let's hope it gels in time for the latter stages of the CL if the league looks unlikely.
Agree with this. I wonder if he's changing the way he's always played. I'm not convinced Haaland is really his type of player either albeit he's not part of the most recent rebuild. My concern is having a collection of excellent footballers who can't play the manager's way.

I agree with you. However, why did PSG want rid of him?

For about the 100th time now on the his thread the reason He left PSG is that they offered him a contract extension which was lower than he currently earns and he refused it.

They couldn't come to a agreement so rather than letting him run down his contract and leaving for free in the summer they transfer listed him for a cut price £30M and we made the offer.

Donnarumma's transfer value is at least double what we paid for him

Trafford is not going to do any developing as second choice. He'll be gone next summer if Donnarumma comes in and plays every game.

There's absolutely no chance he's signed up to be stuck behind a Donnarumma for 5+ years. Newcastle will probably make a bid in January.
Interesting take
Ortega stays as number 2 you reckon?

I am not sure what to make of this deadline day transfer. I hope it works out obviously, but the only worry is this: if he is so good, why are PSG not keeping him, especially at 26 years old....

I hope there aren't any skeletons in the cupboard, off the field stuff, that comes out later.
Well his Uncle was associated with the mafia.

Could be a skeleton or two buried in lime somewhere in the world!

P.s. just some free advice, try not to be too negative with early posts, it won't help you.

Cheers.

Apologies if this has already been posted

This guy is going to be amazing.

We have bought a leader and multiple time champion / winner. He is going to martial that defence, that can change a lot of things. Mistakes etc, I’ve seen a few PSG fans say he’s very vocal and he doesn’t like mistakes in his defence and tells them how it is. That’s so valuable. That’s where the Buffon comparisons come from

I hate to say but having that presence in the goal as a defender you are going to have more confidence. I love Trafford but he doesn’t have the presence that Donnarumma has.

Even a striker going 1v1 Donnarumma is huge just his reputation is going to affect a number of strikers going against him.

He’s going to have a massive effect on how our defence plays more organised.

Dias isn’t the only leader in that defence now, Donnarumma is there that will help. Will improve our defenders

What kind of skeletons are we exaggerating here? Pretty clear and well stated why PSG are changing their keeper approach. It was deadline day because we was waiting on Ederson moving. I think in this transfer it has been clear Donna wanted us and probably why he wasn't linked elsewhere. Isak isn't bad because only Liverpool chased him. It is because it was obvious he wanted them.

The only thing Dias organises is his outfits for the red carpet.

It’ll be nice to have a proper leader in the team, we’ve lacked that since Kompany.
