So you only been watching city a few years then.

Immell way way worse

Suckling was shit

Dibble was an accident waiting to happen

Martyn margetson bottled it

Did any of the above cost as much as Bravo and replaced a keeper that was fine, certainly no worse?

He is the real deal sweeper keeper. Completely over the top at times and is bound to drop the odd clanger when he comes rushing out.
However he is also a fabulous shot stopper, comfortable with the ball at his feet and his distribution looks excellent.
Super confident in all he does unlike Bravo.
Brilliant signing!
He will be a monster of a keeper for us.

Totally agree. Sweeper keeper indeed! Quick to anticipate those balls over the top of our high line defence. A big unit who will intimidate even the biggest strikers to win 50 - 50 balls yet knows when to hold back and make himself big. Surprisingly quick, good with his feet with the potential to change the perception of the role of a goalkeeper.

In the short time I have seen him play, I can see what Pep wants and am excited. When describing a strong defence pundits assume the team is sitting back defending. The GK rarely leaves the 6 ard box. Here we have a GK who is not afraid to come out of the penalty area when required, play the ball, set up attacks and even do route one over the top as we saw with Kun. No more giving the ball away cheaply.

There will be criticism of errors as we saw preseason with Lukaku where traditionalists would say he left his goal exposed by coming out of his area. A plague on them. It will happen but more often the benefits will outweigh any risks. We need to appreciate how the whole team is being transformed, give our full support to all the players and enjoy the ride. Ederson will be a monster and Pep will be vindicated.

I agree with most of what has been said here.... He is the real deal we need. We NEED to remember though this guy is not going to improve with the fans booing him for mistakes, the mistakes are a nothing compared to what he does bring.

It does not matter as they were basically shit and worse than Bravo

Immell replaced Tony Coton also so it could be argued he did replace a fine keeper

So you hate one line in a post. The person it was aimed at responded and seemed ok with it.

You can park your white horse now

Symptomatic of an arrogant individual who cannot deal with different opinions. Whoever it is aimed at, some of us will read it.

Maybe you should start a thread about being a massive blue.

Give it a rest mate.

The poster said he not seen a worse goalkeeper than Bravo at city. Now that would lead to the possibility of them not seeing many city goalkeepers which I posted.

He corrected that and we move on. You pop up with two posts where you are trying to get an argument.

Good luck with that. I agree i am arrogant though. Being one of the most massive of massive blues has done that.

Peter schmeichel on this BT premie rleague preview thing saying that Pep has made the same mistake and signed the same keeper as Bravo in Ederson...

That's just bitterness talking!
Ederson is nothing like Bravo other than possibly being as good a footballer with ball at his feet.
He is twice the size and clearly far too brave for his own good and a nutter to boot.
Strikers will shit their pants at the sight of him charging out at the speed he does.
This guy is hard as nails...Claudio isn't.
Oh and he actually makes saves too.
Other than that he is just the same Peter...
