If you look at the games where we badly underperformed our xG this season and didn't win

D Southampton (a) -0.6
L Real Madrid (a) -0.7
D Atletico Madrid (a) -1.0
D Southampton (h) -1.0
D Sporting (h) -1.1
L Crystal Palace (h) -1.1
L Tottenham (a) -1.9
L PSG (a) - 1.9
D Crystal Palace -2.3

I think Haaland would add a conservative 8 points to this side in the league and have us in a CL final.

I am sure this was announced as part of the ongoing process agreed between the parties, but the definition of “in principle” can be interpreted as a sign that not everything has been agreed. This is from the Collins English Dictionary, for example “If you agree with something in principle, you agree in general terms to the idea of it, although you do not yet know the details or know if it will be possible.”.

Hard to tell from that. They're talking about 2022/23, when the sale will be recorded. That figure will presumably mainly represent the basic transfer profit (fee less remaining amortisation) less any monies owed to agents etc in respect of the sale and any accumulated bonuses to the end of the season.

There'll be about €10m amortisation on Dortmund's books.
Thanks for that, fantastic signing whatever the final fee is.

To be fair to Kane, didn’t he pretty much go on strike until it became clear Levy wasn’t going to adhere to a gentleman’s agreement? From memory, Kane did his bit. His error was trusting Charlie Kane with his career choices, as he is clearly inept.

That's exactly right. There's been a fair bit of revisionism since then on here, along the lines of “Stupid Kane, he didn't want to come, and chose to stay with perennial losers” or “City didn't do enough to push it over the line”. City did what they could; Kane did what he could. It was Levy who didn't want to play ball. I think Pep knew very clearly that he wanted either Kane, or Haaland. Knowing that if he couldn't get the one, there was a year to wait for the other, and that the club should be prepared for that wait, even if it meant a season without trophies (which it may be).

I don’t think Dortmund give a shit who Liverpool are playing pal

What I mean was the deal been done months ago and all but signed and release to the media ?
It's all about timing and putting out a statement bigger than the Liverpool score tonight,

it's very clever by the media team at city and lets us get in first before steve G rolls over and lets his villa team get bummed by 5 or 6
