Where's the lack of pace thing come from? I would put him in the Sane/Davies kinda bracket, but he's easily Rashford/Sterling etc

River Plate president Jorge Brito appeared as a guest on Radio 10’s program, Argenzuela.


When discussing the Manchester City owned player, he admitted the 22-year-old could move to the Etihad in the coming months.
“Because of comments that we have already heard from Guardiola himself and those that they make to us, we always have to analyse the worst scenario from the sporting point of view and that is that he leaves in July,” Brito was quoted as saying by TyC Sports.
“Formally they will inform us about the date, but from the gesture and the conversation, everything indicates that Julián is going to leave in the middle of the year.”
The South American side’s chief further stressed that River Plate will make every effort to retain the Argentina international until December 2022.
“We are going to give the battle until the last minute, but you cannot go against what was agreed and the player’s career,” he explained.
Álvarez has five goals and two assists from 11 matches for River Plate in 2022. Last year, he managed 24 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

What a load of tripe.
I love the way some on here put down new players just for the sake of it.
Do you watch any SA football?
He is current CONMEBOL player of the year and definately knows where the back of the net is. Oh and he's pretty fast. Not Kyle Walker fast but he's faster than Jesus.

How was he putting down the player - it looked like a complement to me. I mean Jesus only came second in the CONMEBOL player of the year awards, but it's not an insult to be compared to him.

it was not my intention. I was just giving my opinion but maybe i rate Jesus higher than you

I'm not knocking Jesus. He's a very good player and to be honest I'd rather Jesus stayed. But it seems he wants to play more regularly to cemment his place in the world cup squad.
His goal against Southampton at the death to get us 100 points is one if my most treasured memories.
I happen to think Alvarez is a better player. He certainly knows where the back of the net is. Our chance conversion rate will certainly go up when he plays.

It's always been July as far as I'm aware. I think July was stated on the City TV feature video.
