Welcome Maicon

I get very irriated reading some of the posts in this thread, i find it incredible how highly critical people are of new signings, especially one's who have hardly had a pre season, moved to a new country and thrown into two very difficult matches.

He has hardly had a shocker has he? he will only get better, has the experience and know how to improve his game and settle in, people need to relax.

Think people lose themselves in FIFA and FM and cannot snap out of it.

There was doubts when we we signed Yaya Toure so lets try an reserve judgement on whether Maicon will be a good signing for us.

The list of 'dodgy' buys is starting to add up........................and he's another one to add to the list.

How on earth can you judge him after 2 extremely difficult games, whilst he's still getting used to his team mates and the systems we play ? Let alone the fact he had a disrupted pre-season. To proclaim he "sucks" is a joke. Since when do we write off a world cup winner at such short notice ? Embarrassing.

'cos that's what he was bought for ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what the hell is this crap? The dodgy buys adding up? I hardly think at around £5million and after 2 games we can deduce that. Who else makes this huge list of Mancini flops then whilst we're at it? You'll probably list Yaya Toure and Silva going off what youve already said.

I might have been a bit harsh on maicon he does look good attacking not so good defending a bit like kolarov

people seems to have forgotten that with Maicon on we hadn't conceeded a goal. 3 goals came after he left and 2 of them from Zabba's side... Unbelievable Jeff

tbf with maicon on we got completley ripped down the side by ronaldo and marcelo. They should have scored when he was on -with higuain missing an absoloute sitter.

the goals we then conceded were collective mistakes made in all areas of the back four, you can hardly say its mostly zabas fault

We were being ripped apart in the midfield throughout the game which caused our backfour (Maicon and theN later Zab included) to be exposed constantly.

At one point it was almost a defensive drill where our lads had been told not to leave our half. The blame should be shared and not focused on Maicon. You cannot judge his overall skill level so quickly based on a game that could make anyone (including Zab) look pedestrian.

im not judging his overall skill level, just saying he wasnt great and defending zaba who may not have been good- but not really at fault for the then two conceded goals :)
