Welcome Nolito

Just watched that "Inside City" video, featuring Nol's first day. Seems to be a bloody good bloke™, actually. The tracksuit top he had on looked okay as well.

As did our new photographer. Just saying, like.

Just been watching his goals video and he reminds me a lot of Sergio the way he picks out his spot with precision. On the face of it I wasn't that impressed we bought a 29 year old but actually he looks a very intelligent player which goes long way when transitioning quickly into attack.

Great signing better replacement for sterling who's had an outrageous season he had a good start but then went down hill by fucking up assists and too much on the ball maybe he will learn a lot of Nolito!

Along with Gundogan, it seems we're signing players that are not only great, but have very good personalities. Seems Pep doesnn't want big egos and wants players that will work for the side!

Only 14 mil huh? That has to be one of the cheapest "big" signings we've had in a while.

Can't pretend to know anything about him that isn't common knowledge, hopefully he'll work out. Seemed like a down to Earth dude in his welcome interview.

I've read Pep likes him and likes "specialists", but it seems to me that Pep likes the opposite of specialists. Don't "specialists" go against the whole "total football" thing? And if Pep likes specialists, why does he do things like play Lahm/Alaba/Boateng/Martinez as defenders and midfielders?

Can he play on the right as well as the left? Can he play as a striker with Kun in a 442? Or is he strictly a left winger/attacking middy?
If I'm not wrong, Nolito can function as a striker.

Does anyone know if he made an appearance yesterday?
You mean at the Cityzens event? They showed a short video message he recorded for the fans but he wasn't there in person.

He is listed on the official website as one of our strikers, alongside Iheanacho, Bony and Aguero. Not sure if that is worth reading into as to how Pep plans to use him.
