Welcome Nolito

Pulled this from Goonersworld:

Some sour grapes there.

Why's that sour grapes? That's how most fans of other sides and a fair few of our fans will see it. And if we're honest, it's how we'd all see it if he signed for Arsenal/United etc. Lets just hope he can surprise those fans.

Stats don't lie and judging by Nolitos, he will be a very shrewd and experienced, addition to the squad.

I'm more than happy with this signing.

If people think this is a waste of money, that's fine but to sum up a waste of money, especially when it was in short supply, then Robert Hopkins is the epitome of a waste of money, not Nolito.

On the contrary I'd be gutted if Utd signed players like Gundogan and Nolito. Utd haven't bought well for years which is the biggest reason their crown has slipped

Not seen enough of him to have a useful opinion of his ability. On the face of it, it feels a little underwhelming to be signing a 29 year old who presumably hasn't been "pulling up trees" for most of his career but the reality is that we haven't been playing as a team for the best part of a couple of years. Turning us into a functioning unit is the most important thing and that isn't necessarily achieved by buying a string of star names.
"Pulling up trees for most of his career" had you and ideas on vardy, mahrez, payet, kante did they all slip under your radar. also would you refuse them also because they cost so little??

Very happy with this signing, we need guys like this in the squad and i'm sure he will give a good contribution this season. I am of the opinion that Pep maybe knows a little more about football than me and so if he thinks he is the man for the job then that's good enough for me.

If he can stay fit for more than a month at a time then we will certainly be in better shape.

Great signing.

Nolito can play anywhere along the front, Pep loves that type of player. Most players in our squad next season will be able to play in two of three different positions.

Hopefully Nolito can add some goals from midfield, something I feel we've lacked in the last 2 seasons. I can see a good amount of goals between De Bruyne, Sterling and Nolito next season, add that onto Aguero and Iheanacho and it looks like we're going to score a lot of goals.
