Welcome Omar Marmoush

He made a lot of runs against Chelsea and we didn't try and find him but once we understand his game, there will be a lot more to come.
I noticed that. Instead of looking up and picking Marmoush out certain players played pretty midfield triangle passes oblivious to him constantly finding free space.

Hate to be devils advocate but you say that like we haven't ignored Haaland making brilliant runs for 3 years now. That said, Pep anknowledging that the midfielders needing to be braver and picking out Marmoush and our tactics in the second half saturday makes me hopeful that this could change

The players have been drilled in possession football and starving the opposition of the ball. The problem this season is they have failed miserably to retain possession, with frankly piss poor passing.

Hard to articulate exactly, but I was pleased with him yesterday. A bit of a wild card and I think we've been missing that.
Hopefully he won't have it coached out of him and be forced to always play it safe and retain possession at all costs.

We do desperately need someone who is a bit of a selfish, unpredictable maverick even if *shock horror*... he sometimes loses possession.

But it was very noticeable than Marmoush was making loads of runs and we seemed to be oblivious to his runs. This is bound to get better with time.

We don't always play Haaland in as you say, but this was a very noticeable feature of the Chelsea game for me. He was constantly making runs in behind the defenders and very rarely did we try and play the pass. I bet he was playing his normal Frankfurt game.

I know Doku still has to find consistency and Savinho is still developing but chuck in Bobb, Haaland, Foden and this lad and it's going to be exciting if nothing else! Pace to burn, great confidence and just looks like he is going to do the business for us. Can't wait to see him tear Arsenal apart this weekend.
