Not really I know nothing about him. Quite a cheap fee, so is he a squad number filler, a genuine first team contender? Have you seen him play?

Scored two in the final for Spain (same as Foden for England) in the u-17 World Cup final and won 2nd best player of the tournament (behind Phil).

Managed 15 assists from left back last season.

And we’ve signed him for the first team squad so he can’t be bobbins.

I've been beaten to the opportunity of a first reply,but those are better questions....he has the ability to challenge for a first team place and will at the minimum cover for Cancelo when required.

He is a very hungry,vesatile and skillful player with a bright future and the experience of a big move already behind him.

11m wasn't expensive in the current market,but for a lad who has impressed greatly in a lesser league,and is building a career in a new position,it was about right IMO.

That’s exactly it. Our fans (me included) always look at teams like Brighton buying for sub £20m and selling for double or treble that a year later and wonder why our scouts didn’t take out the middle man, hopefully that is what this signing is.

If it's his agent then ok but if it's someone from the club that was basically saying to Gomez that the weather here is always shit and the sun shines twice a year then it's hardly the most glowing praise for the place he's come to live and work in - even if it was said in a light-hearted way.
