Welcome to the new forum

Hi guys. Had real problems logging on. Email to reset password worked eventually. Old user name not recognised and when I enter the new password to change it , it is not recognised....... I am now a new user according to my info...

I like the look of it, but it's a little buggy on Safari. (Or Safari is a little buggy rendering it.)

The pages have locked up a few times, only responding again by restarting Safari. And sometimes the mouse pointer doesn't change from an arrow to a pointer or an insert symbol when hovering.

All working fine (Safari, MAC OS X)

As you can see, we're essentially back to square one in terms of getting all of the functionality that we wanted in and you can expect improvements over the next few weeks and months.

I'm aware that the old [video] tags are not currently working and will be fixing that within the next day or two, same with [bigimg]. The system now has a standard/catch all [media] tag which allows a vast array of sites including Vine and the HTML5 video sites such as gfycat, and other popular sites that you can see by hitting the little button in the bar when posting. For those who don't like hitting the buttons, just dumping the link inside the media tag should work.

There's lots of new features on the forum and still lots of things to be ironed out but we think we've made the right choice here considering how crippled we were under our old forum software. We held onto it for much too long as we outgrew it due to the amount of work that getting the database containing all of the posts and usernames across, and styling/configuring a whole new system was but for this end of season's upgrading then we decided that it was time to bite the bullet.

There will also be some other changes coming soon in regards to how more relevant things on the forum work such as moderation and permissions and posting and stuff like that works but I don't really know the specifics of it.

The top of the screen has sunk to the bottom
The banner is now at the bottom

Finding my way around now but the subsilver was much better for us oldies, this is a bit too stark and impersonal

Try scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on the link in the bottom left corner called "xendisconnect"(?) and choose default style, on a PC at least it fills the monitor side to side.

Thanks, but no, I'm not seeing that. T'internet is a different ball game when you don't have a computer, or even a phone. Crap browser/rarely updated. It's my own fault for being basically a caveman.

We're all new members now. }:)

Not necessarily a complaint but why does the ribbon only appear at the bottom when you're in a thread? (As opposed to appearing at the top when in the forum or new posts)

I think that is because Ric has removed it, as it wasn't meant to be there, can't answer your other query right now.
