Arc eye and sunburn in winter what's not to love.

Our kid (who was/is a member on here) has been fabricating wrought iron since about 1984 and still has a workshop on Whitelands Road on the Duky/Ashton/Stalybridge border

Had a couple of stints working for him but sibling rivalry what it is, he couldn't take being told to stick his fucking rods up his arse (he didn't even use welding rods apart from emergency site working).

When I was about seven years old, I found a pair of welders goggles on the way home from school, so put them on
I was walking through the park and this guy jumped out from behind a bush and asked me if I knew what masturbation was?
I said "no"
He then asked, "Do you know what anal sex is?"
Again, I said "no"
He asked "do you know what a blow job is"
I said "I'm not a real welder"

That used to have the title of the funniest joke of all time.....

Seemed to upset the welders in the fab shop, along with they trained the monkeys at Bellevue zoo to weld but it kept burning their fur :-)

Do mig and tig welding at work .
Kind of fell into it, was short of welders so put myself forward as always found it interesting and they sent me to college and put me with one of the lads who was due for retiring who showed me the ropes and picked it up from there.
Hated what I was doing there at the time (industrial oven building).To loving and enjoying my work.My grandad was a welder too.Funny old world eh.

I know a guy that works the rigs, welding underwater. He's on mega money but he's risking his life.(his dad was my fishing buddy, rip)

Welding is something I've wanted to have a go at for a while. Wouldn't want to do it for living but it looks like a really interesting skill.

Sadly I don't have the room or need for all the gear but I'd love the opportunity to have a go for a day.

I am huge admirer of skilful welders and artists that use metal fabrication in their work.

Maybe a trip to Idaho mate, I believe he welcomes men to inspect his 'art'

Idaho is truly a diverse place. Politically a disaster but the reality is a bizarre collection of communities and people.
In it’s own way the most weird State in the nation, the best white water, the most wilderness of any state, I love it.
