Well done boss

Especially in the CL this season, Pellers seems different. There's a dogged determination about him. He's excellent tactically, and as you say, I'm staggered as to the lack of praise. There's only 25 pages of support, if we'd have lost, there'd be a thread of 200 pages as to why he's shit and should be sacked.

I think that ship has sailed now. Most people just can't be arsed with him and won't change their minds even if he wins the European Cup.

That however I can.

He is not shit, end of and its a ridiculous thing to say.

He is imo.

But I was on here saying fair play to him for his champs lg management. Then what happens, a bunch of posts telling everyone how shit they are for not liking him.

Well I think he's no better than mid table standard & basically any average tom dick or harry vould have done better.

I wouldn't have mentioned it but for the various points scoring posts opening up that avenue.

He was the best when we won the title, mourinho pummelled him last year and he's been woeful this season. That's abt a fair summary don't you think?

CL he has improved us.
No, that's not a fair summary at all. Mourinho didn't 'pummel us', the players handed it on a plate to him because if they'd been half bothered we'd have beaten them. Yes it's the managers job to get them going but the players still have to play their part. Anyone who doesn't acknowledge the injuries to key personnel this crazy season are just haters, and haters are always going to hate.

Well I 5honk he's no better than mid table standard & badically any tom dick or harry vould have done better.

That's fair enough..

I just firmly believe that a manager with the record he has in the last 3 years can not justifiably be called shit.

You may not like him or his football, I've no issue with that but shit, never imo

Miles miles miles better squad. And that includes about ten kids Brenton would have used. We have added one of Liverpool's only decent players, who almost won the title, to our squad & got worse.

Your issue is the fact he wont pick your side every week imo and include youth players rather than the results we have got.

That's fair enough but you have to balance it out and a league cup win and the CL semi final spot says we are not worse over all at all.

Yes the league campaign has been poor by our own high standards but again, it isnt over and whilst we wont win it, even i accept that, we can still finish comfortably in the top 4, maybe even higher and come the end of the season, with some luck in the CL or even if we go out at this stage, its still been a decent season by anybodies standards and his 3 years here will be seen as a success.

Yep, he'll get credit for steering us through a tricky tie against PSG but you've got to have some neck on you to try and turn that around as proof he's been great for us the last couple of seasons. He's done ok under the circumstances he's been dealt with injuries, but still, only ok.
A top 3 finish and CL final will pad his CV out nicely and we can say cheerio on good terms. Falls out the top 4 and we get beat in the semi and I fear for this place! Haha!
Such are the fine lines of football..

A league and cup double, another league cup and the CL semi final says very different imo.
I think the main point of criticism is that we have badly underachieved in the PL the last 2 seasons. The first double winning season was great, and well done to Pellegrini for that. When we give him credit for the good first season however, logically it must also be all right to give criticism for the last 2 not so good PL seasons.
It is great to have won the league cup this year, and it is great to be in the semi final in the CL. However I am of the opinion that the truth lies in the PL, where the real performance of your team comes the light of the day. Can we agree that City have underachieved in the PL in the last 2 seasons, and that Pellegrini ultimately carry the responsibility for this?

We won it.

You were slaughtering Pellegrini recently after telling us we were wrong to slaughter him, so forgive me if I don't take your latest position seriously.

Imo he has the best squad in the country & if you gave Brenton or even Harry Redknapp the same group they would at least match Pellegrini's results over 3 years.

It's been better than we have any right to expect, with him in charge. So yes, I realise that now.

If we were to win the Champs Lg to send him off, it would be a doubly fantastic day.
