Try watching any American program, click time off when they use a swear word and you will soon see that a 30 minute program would be over in just 10 minutes if they didn't resort to profanities (multiples on occasion) every second word.

What the fuck are you fucking watching?! :-)

I see FAR too much American TV, and the profanity is almost non-existent, unless you are watching a premium cable channel that doesn't have to abide by the normal TV rules. However, "regular" TV doesn't even have "shit" in it...quality or the word itself!

Watching players like kolorov jogging back and zabba getting skinned was painfull to watch that game has really upset me and a lot of blues.we want to see passion and commitment but these players are on some kind of jolly up and are allowed by our feeble manager to get away with it.

If he was going to play a weakened team then he should of played 3 in the middle not 2 upfront we got overun in the middle it was a shocking all round performance from everyone including Mr pellegrini

Resort to profanities?

We have some wet arses following us. How do they cope at the games I want to know.

Agreed.

I'm sick of us getting overrun in midfield. It's happened far too many times this season

Read some of the posts in this thread since last night. Disgusting. No way those posters are actually City supporters. Absolutely no way.

Back to the old chestnut of who motivates the players. Isn't Champions League next season something worth playing for? It seemed like one or two City players had no interest whatsoever in that game. Kolarov in particular should not be in the squad for Real Madrid away. If you are unprofessional then there have to be consequences.

Pellegrini keeps trotting out these quotes that if you are a big club you have to compete in all competitions but he can't convince the players of that. They should not need someone to motivate them, but we all know from experience that they do

Clearly the players have no respect for the manager and no respect for the shirt

Thought Brian Kidd was still here for inspiration?

I am a strong believer in self-motivation, with a management's primary job in that context being to provide conditions that avoid demotivating their staff. Obviously, it ain't that simple and that is a broad concept but when it comes to football players at the highest level, you have to be recruiting guys who don't just have technical ability but also have the right mental attributes and that needs to include being highly self-motivated: real winners surely have to be just that?

All I know is that some are never around when we are winning so make of that what you will?

Christ, it's been like that for months on here. Some of the language used towards players is shocking. I'm all for abusing them when they're bad, but some of the stuff is beyond what I'd expect of Blues. I don't want this place to turn into RAWK, but I can certainly see where there are times when people need removing from some threads.

Mind you, tempers are running high, especially given some of the football we are playing. Given how we've played, I'm absolutely stunned we're still in the top four, have won a trophy and are in the semi final of the CL........it's fucking perplexing.

I think it's completely normal for poor results to lead to upset and there's not better place than a forum to come vent your spleen. But I'm not convinced that these usernames who are literally never seen during periods of happiness and yet are all over this thread like a rash when things go wrong are Blues. If they are they should seek help.

Yesterday was awful. Abject. Atrocious. A disgrace. But it's baffling why it's the manager who's getting it in the neck. He picked a shadow side with one eye on Madrid, which is whether we like it or not, the bigger game. What happened is that one or two players decided that they just didn't want to play. It's them who should be getting it in the neck. The manager is off in a few weeks and everything which wants to be said about him has already been said. Especially the negative stuff which lets face it has been on repeat since he was appointed.

Anyway personally as down as I was about yesterday, I only needed to read this thread to feel better. I'd rather keep a sense of perspective than end up sounding like an ignorant angry empty vessel.

I've said it since last season and I'll stand by it to the end.

We win in spite of Pellers, not because of him.

The irony of me saying this is he'll probably win the champions league and go down as some legend, but the evidence of the performances under him tell a different story.

But even if we went on to beat Pep and Bayern 5-0 in the CL final, I'll be delighted he's going. A champions league win wouldn't brush away two terrible prem campaigns for me, nor his woeful handling of our younger players.

No such thing as winning in spite of a manager. When a team stops listening to a manager you end up like Chelsea under Mourinho or Rags under Moyes, Liverpool with Rodgers.
