I don't know quite how we got to this ridiculous state of affairs but I know for certain that MP had more than a passing hand in it.

Do you think pellers had any idea that a lot of fans were pissed off with him?
I'm just thinking he may be that cocooned in his thinking that he might have been genuinely surprised that hardly any fucker stayed behind for his farewell speech.

Ofcourse he knows. He's not stupid.
You on the other hand ...

Pellegrini knows now you mean. There was genuine surprise and disappointment on his face when he saw what the fans thought of him and our team this season. That interview sounds like a reflective one whereby he's had time to digest what happened last Sunday and its hit him like a baseball bat in the face that the Premier League matters above all else!

The Champions League is hugely important but runs in second as its basically a European Cup lottery competition. If you're a decent team and avoid the big boys there's a good chance you will progress, come up against Bayern, Barca or Real and there's a good chance your CL season will end right there as we've found out.

Pellegrini has only just realised this on his final week in charge of us.

The interview says nothing about his feelings. It says a great deal about his priorities though. The week didn't start with the Madrid game, it started on the Sunday with that pitiful display at Southampton. Not surprising that he air brushed that out.
