Well done boss

You can't have watched that game and come away with the impression that the bulk of that team went out there with any intention of competing. It was as unprofessional a performance as we've seen for some time.

I can and I did. Three players let us down, Yaya, DeBruyne and Aguero all had mares, the rest ran their bollocks off in an effort to contain Madrid.

To suggest we went there with no intention of turning up is nonsense.

It means not trying to get a goal even when only one was needed and having virtually no shots on target over the course of 180 minutes. It means going into a game with the idea that it couldn't be won.

Sorry Pam but that's ridiculous. We were beaten by a far superior side, that's all.

was talking about the Soton game. The question as to why we didn't compete against Madrid is another one. I mainly blame the manager and his tactics.

Why did he neglect our need for a win vs Southampton for a game three days later that we didn't turn up for and apparently had no intention of turning up for.

For me the team was good enough to beat Southampton, it was the attitude and the lazy players who couldn't put a shift in! That lies at Pellegrini's door with his softly softly approach with players since he's been here! Certain Players know they can get away with half hearted performances its been happening for 18 months.

Ah sorry, yes completely agree with that in regards Southampton, I was fucking this custard.

You're forgetting how important it is to be holistic when it comes to the kit man.

But they were nothing special over those games. We paid them too much respect altogether. Fucking Wolfsburg beat them comfortably in the first leg of the QF.

There's certainly plenty to choose from but it was Allison who put us in the position of having to hire crap managers to deal with the crap situation he and Swales created. But yea, great coach.

No, it was a chairman who was a complete and utter fool, he destroyed a wonderful football club, lock stock and barrel.

I agree and was frustrated by what I saw in Madrid but can't question the player's attitudes, well maybe one player.

Rubbish.

That was an ordinary Madrid team and a very nervous one in the last 20 mins, the game was there for the taking.

Ok. Ronaldo, Bale, Modric, Kroos, Isco etc. are ordinary. They weren't brilliant in either game but we didn't let them be as we stuck to a disciplined plan limiting their chances, unfortunately that plan limited our own ability to create chances of our own.

Ronaldo was clearly not 100%, Bale was Bale, Modric agreed outstanding, BUT they were only 1 goal to the good, and in the last 20 mins we should have had a go, we did not and like the managers personality were nice but oh so weak and mellow. White flags were flying, and for me that simply not acceptable,

As said before Wio in the studio was taking the urine, and he was justified, and that hurts!

What were we trying to do in that second leg? Because we clearly didn't believe we could win it and that's unforgivable considering the sacrifices that were made in other competitions just so we could go out with a wimper in the SF of the CL. I don't know how anyone defends that sort of mentality. Our players should have been good enough to give them a game and they bloody well didn't.
