Yesterday was the first in a long time, that the majority stook around after 90 mins to applaud the players performance. Good to see the fans appreciating the endevour that the players displayed. Well done! Think the COMS generation are finally getting the hand of this "support" lark!

"COMS generation" ? Patronising bullshit !

People stayed and applauded 'cos the team gave them something to applaud

Why's that Patronising? He's stating the truth as to many blues week in week out start leaving from 15 mins to the end! That never happened at Maine Road so he's correct in stating it's the COMs Generation.

I sit on the back row and on the aisle and can not believe how many blues normally go way before the final whistle, it's a joke. We wait all week for them to play then only watch 75/80 mins of the game! I ask them why they are leaving early and most of them either have a go at me or ignore what I've said so I'm thinking either the truth hurts or they are to embarrested to comment!

As for people attemping to make out that they'd stay if the team puts in the performance well thats utter rubbish to as we've had a good few big wins this season yet, up they get and out they walk with 10 to 15 minutes to go! The stadium looks half empty come the final whistle and we've won!!! Amazing!!!!

I for one second his comments, well done blues, it was great to see most of us still their to applaud the boys off.

We live & breath Manchester City Football Club and we get to see our team at our fanatastic stadium 20 odd times a season depending on cup games.
We should all stay to the end no matter what. We show our commitment to the team by turning up, then large numbers leave well before the end,it doesn`t make sense,to get home 10 minutes earlier than if you`d have stayed??
Its usually always at least another 10 days until the next home game!
Injury time gets dragged out more & more these days that 4 minutes as become the norm.
The last few minutes of every game is vital and the time if any, that a team is going to push for a winner.
As for yesterday the lads showed true grit & determination to hold on to the lead against a very capable side, this for me was more satisfying than beating hull 3 weeks ago & yesterdays performance truly deserved the jubilant applause at the end.

I too think it was great to see blues applaude their team off - no argument there. I hope it happens every week.

But no one ever left early at Maine Road ? Anyone who was there know's that's not ture

My old man used to say 'why the rush?' So i hardly ever leave early (glad at Wembley!!!) was about to once we were losing 1-0 to West Brom i think it was under Joe Royle, the bloke next to me said where do you think your going? So i stayed, we won 2-1 with late goals, lesson learnt...
