Not something often said in the world of football, but well done... Keegan “only” getting 2.4m in compensation in court after Ashley offered him out of court settlement for 4m!! Kev whatever kind of soft spot i had for you after your showboating City days, i'm glad you didint get your own way you greedy c*nt, trying to suck money out of “your” club you supposedly love when they are fuked, what a wanker!!

EDIT - Since more "facts" were released -

Poor old Kev, what a wanker Ashley and his cockney Marfia were, undermining the big [little] man in such ways! Forcing some Uryguan on to him without him having a clue who he was! [Vuoso ring any bells?] You've been hard done to Kev, only gettin 2m for leaving your managerial rep. in tatters [not for the first time:+++:]. Hope your alrite Kev, hope they suffer eh mate? [not for the first time...]

hang on. keegan walked out didn't he? why is he getting any compensation at all?

I think it's because he was promised full control of transfers but he didn't get that control so he walked out.

The tribunal (sp) said that if Keegan wasn't offered full control of transfers in the first place, he wouldn't have took charge.

Full verdict. Dennis Wise told Keegan that Ignacio Gonzalez would be a good signing, and then suggested he look the player up on YouTube for evidence. Words fail me.

Re: Well done Ashley!

Based on that KK had every right to walk and expect some compensation.

Much gets more. Is Keegan in dire straits, does he actually need any more money? Is he unable to see his time out in this vale of tears with the cash he has stashed, from Liverpool to Hamburg, to Southampton to Newcastle, to Manchester and Newcastle. I am a fervent supporter of workers getting their due from dodgy managements via industrial tribunals, but is Keegan on his 'uppers'. Sounds like pure greed to me.
