The club have said that it is all about finessing the squad, lots of press specultaion about us as usual and unless ITKs on here come up with something I don't have a fucking clue what is going on. Reading between the lines I am with OP, January is always an awkward month for any player to move. I have said it before and will say it again this is the last window where our finances are NOT used in FFP regulations so if we are to buy that "special" player, now is certainly the time to do it. I can see a lot of players going out on loan till the summer when they will be sold maximising the revenue under FFP on the positive side. So for me any of the following could go

That would leave us with the following excluding kids

Zab, Richards, Boetang, Toure, Kompany, Lescott, Kolorov, AJ, NDJ, Barry, Vierra, Yaya, Milner, Silva, Tevez, Balotelli, Jo, effectively a nineteen man squad to get us through the rest of Europa League, FA cup and Prem matches, cover injuries, suspensions and have enough to rotate the squad. I believe it is enough but if a Dzeko, Torres, Kaka, Luis became available I also believe we would go for them, any of those players would improve us IMO so although I think we will see a lot of outgoings we might just see a superstar join us. Anyway we have only got 35 days to wait and see.
