Well played James Milner, however Aguero was the difference

Aguero coming on meant we were playing with 11 men instead of 10

Sadly close to the truth.

Have to agree, although mario did do well to keep his cool. He's a big string lad who seems to have 'suarez syndrome' at the moment and falls at the slightest touch.

Can't give Gareth Barry any more praise than i did last season or the season before & the season before that!! His contribution is outstanding defensively and his intelligence gives him a yard over the quickest of players, we are a far worse team without him. I just hope the bunch of knobs in the Roebuck when we played Fulham watched this match & realise what a group of fuckwits they are. Constantly slating Barry through-out the match & laughing at the introduction of Dzeko just before he bagged the winner, tossers.
Milner class, Zabba always class, Silva done more defensive work than ever, class, in fact only Mad Mario was off the pace. Great performance all round.

Milner was my man of the match. He put in a tireless shift and added a bit of steel to the midfield that's been sorely missing of late.

Barry should get a mention too. Often damned with faint praise, he adds solidity to midfield.

I believe we've had the balance between 'flair' and 'grit' wrong this season, and yesterday, Mancini corrected that.

Excellent post. It's quite clear that it wasn't broke and didnt need fixing.

No arguing Kun is a class act, but the difference was the midfield that allowed him to shine, and that owes a lot to Barry who patrols in front of the defense and gets things moving or makes possible the overlaps up the sides by the full backs and Micah to go rampaging forwards by dropping in behind.

The graft and guile of Milner who links up so well with Silva and gives him room to move is a big factor as well, it also lets Ya ya step up that extra few yards that change his game so much.

Both full backs deserve high praise for the amazing amount of graft they put in giving us the options up the side, and while Kolorov was outstanding it was Zab who got my man of the match, he has visibly improved from a journeyman who gave 100% to a seriously great player under Mancini.

What a pity we can not re-run weds game again with that line up, the result would in mho have been far different

Aguero ripped em to shreds though, assuming the rest of team were similarly effective before Kun was introduced, Balotelli and Tevez weren't doing the things that Aguero could. The difference in our attacking play was huge.

As I said, he is a class act , my point was that the chances were being made by the team set up, Mario had an almost identical chance to Kuns first goal just before the substitution, so Sunderland were already being opened up by then, I`m not trying to take anything away from Kun rather than share the credit out for our best performance so far this season ;0)
